I’m Paula Hyde. I’m Mum to Harriet who’s four. She is a whirlwind of energy and joy. She equally delights, exhausts and exasperates me daily. I’ve been married to David for fourteen years and life is pretty good.

I’m rapidly approaching forty and can feel the tinge of a mid-life crisis approaching. I feel like I need to do something amazing, I feel like I’m going to be disappointed.

One thing I noticed when Harriet started school was that you stop being you, you merely become ‘Harriet’s Mum’. I love being Harriet’s Mum, but I am more. I am a writer, a dancer, a cake lover, a worrier, a depressive,  a librarian (my actual job), a friend, a joker, a weirdo and much more. This blog is just a place for my musings on, well, everything really.
